Cranberries singer Dolores O’Riordan dies aged 46

The Irish musician, originally from Limerick, led the band to international success in the 90s with singles including Linger and Zombie.

A statement from her publicist said: “The lead singer with the Irish band The Cranberries was in London for a short recording session.

“No further details are available at this time.”

I know, this was really out of left field. I don’t want it to have been substance abuse, but to have had a fatal medical condition at that age isn’t any easier to accept.

Yeah this one gets me a lot more than most of the 2017 deaths did, never a huge Bowie fan for instance. This was always one of my faves from the devils own with Brad Pitt and Harrison Ford. Had a big phase with her solo albums too in college, picked up a chick way above my league with ‘em. Didn’t last but it’s always nice to have even had a chance lol.

I saw the headline but somehow didn’t click who it was, then the ran a clip of Linger on tv and it felt very cold. Damn.
